The Enclosure functions as a kind of prosthesis, an extension of the human. Upon being deployed, it forms a protective bubble around the user. The Enclosure is mobile in that it can be collapsed into a backpack-like apparatus, allowing for seamless transportation from one location to another.

The user can see through a small slit down the center of the Enclosure, but they cannot be seen by those outside of the bubble (with the exception of their legs). The bubble that the Enclosure creates serves as a protective or comfortable space for those who prefer solace. The Enclosure speaks to the role that technology will play in this new anthropocentric age, where the human is becoming more frequently outfitted with external apparatuses.

The Enclosure is worn through an apparatus similar to a backpack. Two shoulder straps and a velcro waistband support the back of the Enclosure.A fan attached to the back of the user is the source of the air which causes the Enclosure to rise. The switch that operates the fan is attached to a string; pulling it one direction turns the fan on, and pulling the other direction turns the fan off. The string is accessible through two loops on the waistband of the apparatus, so that the user may easily pull the string to turn the Enclosure on and off.
